Ann Mary Mathew
Masters Level Intern

As a dedicated Masters Level Intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of New Haven, Ann Mary Mathew brings a unique blend of academic excellence and hands-on experience to her work. With a strong foundation in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Amity University, Mumbai, and a background in academics from Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore, Ann has cultivated a versatile approach to mental health support.


Her experience as a counselor at St Francis de Sales Autonomous College's Santvana Counseling Center, and her work with special education programs at Sanjeevani Precious School, have equipped her with the skills to navigate diverse settings and populations. Ann's volunteer work with in-patient residents and clients with physical barriers has deepened her understanding of the complexities of mental health.


Trained in Yoga for 15 years, Ann seamlessly integrates elements of movement therapy into her practice, empowering clients to explore multiple dimensions of healing. Her experience with the AA 12-step program has also honed her ability to blend spiritual perspectives into therapeutic sessions.


At the heart of Ann's practice is a commitment to creating a safe, empathetic space where clients feel valued and empowered. She believes in the importance of client-centered care, actively engaging individuals in their therapeutic journey to boost their potential and foster growth.


As she continues to support clients through their challenges, Ann is passionate about helping them connect with their inner selves and unlock their full potential.
